RGB/Videolink(R) 1500M

RGB Spectrum

The RGB/Videolink 1500M converts medical images to composite video format(NTSC or PAL) in real time. This conversion prepares the signal for videotransmission over telephone liens (teleradiology) and for recording onvideo tape. The 1500M automatically locks to any signal from 15-90 kHz,including both interlaced and non-interlaced images from 350-1049 lines. When the RGB/Videolink is used as an interface to a teleradiology system, diagnostic images can be acquired directly from the analog output of theimager. This direct video interface has significant advantages over avideo copy stand. When using a copy stand, images must first be filmedand then converted to video format. The direct video interface offers abetter representation of the console screen because image quality is notdependent on focusing, exposure settings or film processing variables. Inaddition, images are acquired as soon as they appear on the imagerconsole. Features include real time scan conversion, gray scaleprocessing, freeze frame and elimination of interlace flicker.Synchronization and set-up are completely automatic. The 1500M measuresthe horizontal and vertical frequencies of the input signal and set upthe parameters for the sharpest picture, correct aspect ratio and size ofthe output image. The 1500M is easily installed with external videocables and may be moved between images as required.
